Sunbites China Yogurt Bites

To reimagine snack time, we set out to create a snack food that balances functional benefits with convenient, delicious tasting bits. Inspired by the health-conscious food trends sweeping through China, we used our new freeze-dried technology to seal freeze-dried fruit, yogurt and probiotics into a snackable cube that’s just as fun as it is yum.

Our design team brought the joy of snacking to the forefront with mix-and-match pouches that feature soft pastels and warm animal illustrations. Each pack can be combined to form adorable animals or creative creatures of your own. By embossing each snack cube with a letter of the alphabet, we extended gamification to the product. For the finishing touch, we created portable sachets that offer grab-and-go convenience. Through infusing fun into every touchpoint, Sunbites Yogurt Bites balances playtime with snack time.

In addition to becoming a staple of family adventures across China, Sunbites is the recipient of several awards and even landed the magazine cover of GD USA America’s packaging design awards issue.
