In an inspiring collaboration, six visionary female artists were commissioned to create a visual metaphor depicting a phase in “The Rise”— our name for the singular journey women founders take when driving towards success. The Rise features six unique phases: Inspiration, Courage, Grit, Nourishment, Success and Community.
Stacy's Rise Project
Uplifting female entrepreneurs, and their singular journey.
Through art and storytelling, The Rise Project captures The Rise of visionary women across a limited-edition curation of Stacy's Pita Chips bags.
The Rise.
Stacy’s Pita Chips is on a driving mission to amplify female entrepreneurs and bring equality in business front and center. Its passionate pursuit was highlighted during Women's History Month through stunning original artwork takeovers for a limited-edition collection of Stacy's Pita Chip bags
“Lifting As We Climb”
For the Inspiration phase, Nomoco, from Fukuoka, Japan transformed the chip bag with beautiful, dreamlike watercolors.
Engineer-turned-illustrator Amrita Marino used a trapeze as a metaphor in the Courage phase, representing the strength and grace needed when taking the leap of faith.
Alexander Bowman created a challenging, winding path in the Grit phase that leads to otherworldly success (the moon!).
Jane Beaird used gardening as inspiration for the Nourishment phase, showing us how being a nurturer of something so delicate is reminiscent of an entrepreneur carefully tending to her dream business, as well as herself.
Jade Purple Brown’s bold uses of color and mixed media represent ted strength for all women in the fifth phase, Success.
The sixth and final phase in The Rise journey, Community, was inspired by the theme “lifting as we climb” and Eleni Kalokati’s whimsical, yet sophisticated, interpretation of the female form.
Making Dreams A Reality.
The Rise arose from a frustrating reality female entrepreneurs know all too well. Despite owning 38 percent of businesses in the country, studies have shown that aspiring female business owners continue to lack equal access, growth opportunities and financial investment—receiving only about 2 percent of all venture funding. That disheartening disparity is only one of the many obstacles they have to confront when trying to realize their vision and innovations.
Stacy Madison, the trailblazing founder of Stacy’s Pita Chips, understood those challenges intimately—which is why she is so passionate about amplifying female entrepreneurs. Stacy’s launched the Rise Project to help make the groundbreaking business ideas of underrepresented women a reality through grants, one-on-one executive mentorship, and a dedicated team of professionals creating, producing and strategically placing advertising on their behalf.
A Rallying Call.
Art inspires action, and The Rise was part of a rallying call for Stacy’s fans to help match the brand's $100,000 commitment to United Way's "Women United" program.
Our community rose to the occasion and joined Stacy's in the goal to empower female entrepreneurs—a powerful moment of activism and progress. For each $10 donation, Stacy’s gifted the donor one of the six limited-edition bags and a commemorative 8x10 print of the featured artwork, honoring the art, artists, and vision behind this groundbreaking initiative.
