In its third year at Milan Design Week, “Mix It Up” celebrated PepsiCo’s past, embraced the present and envisioned a future of food and beverage through an immersive installation that invited attendees to explore and interact. The highly anticipated showcase and innovation incubator featured collaborations with multiple leading designers

HELLO GOODNESS

An outdoor Hello Goodness café-like environment, created in collaboration with architect and designer Fabio Novembre, allowed visitors to learn about the Hello Goodness platform. The brand curates PepsiCo’s portfolio of better-for-you snacks and beverages, and makes them easily accessible to on-the-go consumers.

PEPSI / BAR OF MEMORIES

The Bar of Memories created an unexpected culinary journey using Pepsi-infused bites as a portal to experiencing memories. The design of the bar was created in collaboration with designer Mathieu Lehanneur, known for his evocative and dreamlike works.

LIFEWTR

LIFEWTR is a new premium bottled water brand that exists to advance and showcase the sources of creation and creativity. LIFEWTR made its European debut at Milan Design Week, complete with premium accessories created for high-end hospitality settings, designed by Studio Job.

PEPSI SPIRE

Visitors explored the evolution of Pepsi Spire, our state-of-the-art beverage dispensers, in an immersive artistic environment complete with bespoke moving artwork.

LEMON LEMON

Lemon Lemon is a sparkling lemonade and bubbly reminder to escape to a natural, more relaxed place. Architect and designer Patricia Urquiola created a whimsical, fun and elevated Lemon Lemon experience that demonstrated the power of the picnic—a physical respite and emotional getaway for guests to relax and reconnect.

PURE LEAF

Pure Leaf, a premium iced tea, hosted a celebration of the tea drinking experience complete with a set of accessories designed by Luca Nichetto.

LIFE NEEDS FLAVOR

Lay’s explored the evolution of the potato chip. In a beautifully imagined café space, guests enjoyed live culinary performances and snacked on delicious variations of the traditional potato chip, created by renowned Italian chef Andrea Mainardi.

GATORADE Gx

Gatorade Gx space showcased the latest prototypes and innovative explorations in sports customization. Gx makes recommendations based on athletes’ unique sweat profiles and the duration, intensity and temperature of the activity.

ALVALLE

Alvalle is Spain’s leading gazpacho brand and was the first to launch a packaged 100% natural gazpacho that tastes homemade. Visitors viewed a custom-made cart—a modular gazpachería on wheels—and bespoke gazpacho tableware and utensils created by Chef Davide Oldani.

DRINKFINITY

Visitors were challenged to rethink how they drink at the refreshingly colorful Drinkfinity space. People’s hydration needs change throughout the day, and Drinkfinity offers four different modes to help them get the most out of every moment.

A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE

‘A Look Into the Future’ imagined, through design innovation, how people will eat and drink in the decades to come. The film explored the future of the culinary frontier and asked boundary-pushing questions about the food and beverage experience.
